Litmus FM has announced a series of senior leadership appointments that reflect the continued growth of the business and reinforce its commitment to providing expert, client-focused support across facilities management and asset management.

The changes see Co-Founders John Brownless and Karl Cundill transition into new strategic roles, while two long-standing members of the senior leadership team step into Managing Director positions.

After helping to establish and grow Litmus FM into one of the UK's leading independent FM consultancies, Co-Founder John Brownless has become Chairman and will continue to support the business in a part-time strategic role. Fellow Co-Founder Karl Cundill has been appointed Executive Director,also working part-time, where he will continue to provide strategic leadership,governance oversight and technical expertise, supporting the business' long-term direction.

Leading the consultancy business is Dee Cooper, who has been appointed Managing Director, Consultancy. Since joining Litmus FM in 2020, Dee has played a pivotal role in expanding the consultancy's expertise and helping clients navigate increasingly complex operational and compliance challenges.

Looking ahead, Dee's focus is firmly on continuing that momentum. She said: “Our ambition is to substantially grow the consultancy, deepen our sector expertise and continue to recruit exceptional consultants who bring real-world experience and practical insight. Strengthening our team is how we enhance the value we deliver and ensure clients receive practical, commercially focused guidance that helps organisations make confident decisions and achieve better outcomes.”

Alongside Dee's appointment, Anna Cousins has been promoted to Managing Director, Asset Management. Anna has led the continued development o fLitmus FM's asset management services, helping clients maximise the value of their estates through robust data, strategic planning and informed investment decisions.

Looking ahead, Anna is focused on continuing to strengthen thedivision and helping clients make smarter, longer-term decisions about their built assets. Anna said: “Asset management has never been more important. Organisations are under increasing pressure to make informed investment decisions, improve compliance and maximise the value of their estates. My focus is on continuing to develop our expertise, investing in our people and ensuring we deliver practical, data-led solutions that give our clients confidence in every decision they make.”

Together, Dee and Anna now lead Litmus FM's two core business divisions.

Their appointments also mark a significant milestone for the business. In an industry where senior leadership roles remain predominantly male, Litmus FM is proud to have two experienced female leaders heading its consultancy and asset management businesses. Their appointments reflect the organisation's commitment to recognising talent, developing its people and creating opportunities based on expertise and leadership.
