We're celebrating the fantastic achievement of our own Dee Cooper, who recently completed a gruelling 104-mile charity cycle ride from Wolverhampton to Aberdovey in support of the NSPCC.

Dee, who serves on the NSPCC West Midlands Business Board, took on the challenge raising vital funds for the charity's work protecting children from abuse and helping young people rebuild their lives after trauma.

Despite months of training, the ride itself was anything but straightforward. Dee battled relentless headwinds for much of the route, a soaking rain shower and slippery road conditions. “As tough as the conditions were, giving up was never an option,” Dee said after completing the ride.

Thanks to the generosity of friends, family, colleagues and supporters,the fundraising total has already reached more than £850, with further donations still coming in.

As a member of the NSPCC West Midlands Business Board, Dee has an insight into the life-changing impact the charity has on children and families.

The NSPCC is the UK's leading children's charity dedicated to ending child abuse. It works to protect children at risk, supports young people recovering from abuse and develops services that help prevent abuse from happening in the first place.

Dee said: “No child should ever have to rebuild their life after abuse alone. Every child deserves the best possible chance to recover, and that's why I'm proud to support the NSPCC and help raise funds for its vital work.”

Every donation helps the charity reach more children, support more families and ensure that vulnerable young people receive the help they need when they need it most.
