Dee Cooper joins NSPCC Midlands Business Board

March 27, 2026

Litmus FM is proud to share that our Head of Consultancy, Dee Cooper, has been appointed to the NSPCC Midlands Business Board - a role that reflects both her professional expertise and her personal commitment to making a meaningful difference.

The NSPCC plays a vital role in protecting children and supporting those who have experienced abuse, and the Midlands Business Board brings together business leaders from across the region to raise awareness and generate crucial funding for the charity’s work. As a self-funded organisation, the NSPCC relies heavily on the dedication and advocacy of supporters, making the Board’s role especially important.

Dee brings with her a wealth of experience in guiding organisations through complex challenges. At Litmus FM, she is known for helping teams find clarity, strengthen relationships, and deliver practical, positive outcomes. Her ability to connect with people at every level - from frontline teams to senior leadership - alongside her collaborative and solutions-focused mindset, makes her a natural fit for the Board.

Reflecting on her appointment, Dee shared that her connection to the NSPCC began through the late Nick Smith, a respected business leader whose passion for the charity left a lasting impression.

Dee explains: “I met Nick through his work with Elonex. He invited me to a dinner he organised in Birmingham – a networking event, but with a clear purpose: to bring people together and raise money for the NSPCC.

“It was here that I really understood the scale and impact of the NSPCC’s work. Hearing directly from a young woman who had experienced severe abuse, and how the charity supported her to build a brighter future, was incredibly powerful. It made me realise just how many children depend on the NSPCC - and how vital it’s that people step up to support it.”

Nick Smith’s sudden passing just before Christmas was a significant loss, not only to his industry but also to the NSPCC, where his fundraising efforts made a profound impact. Dee’s involvement with the Board is, in part, a continuation of that legacy.

“The role of the Board is to raise awareness and create opportunities to generate funding for the charity,” Dee adds. “I strongly believe that everyone has a part to play in protecting children and ensuring those who have experienced abuse receive the support they need to move forward with hope and confidence.”

Based near Wolverhampton, Dee is well positioned to contribute to the Midlands network. She will also be attending the Business Board’s Birmingham Gala Ball, taking place on 13th November. The ball will champion the work the charity does and offers various sponsorship opportunities for local businesses to get involved with.

We’re delighted to seeDee take on this important role. Her passion, insight, and commitment to positive change reflect the values we strive to uphold as a business. Great stuff Dee!
